Somatic Yoga

Picture
Somatic yoga is 'yoga from the inside', a 'work in' as opposed to a 'workout' The focus is on sensing your way in and out of the poses. It differs from other styles of yoga because it focuses on how movements feel to you from inside, rather than how they look to anyone else.

It's about mindfully and deeply sensing your body without any pushing, striving or trying to get somewhere. Somatic yoga is all about feeling and exploring, it's a gentle and nourishing practice for our nervous systems and designed to develop a more self-compassionate relationship with yourself and your body.
